The General Overseer of Chapel of Freedom International Churches, Lokoja, Bishop John Ibenu, has charged eligible Christians to get their permanent voter cards (PVC) to participate in the 2023 general elections to avoid future complain.
Bishop Ibenu gave the advise during the church service in Lokoja on Sunday.
According to him, the PVC remain the only tool Christians can use to elect credible leaders in 2023.
The former chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kogi state chapter, said Christians will no longer fold their arms in terms of the affairs that concern them, stressing that this is the right time to change the narrative.
He noted that Christians must participate in election processes, adding that INEC has improved on the electoral process.
“Vote now count while rigging and other malpractices has been reduced as we saw in Anambra and just concluded Ekiti state governorship election,” he said.
The general overseer declared ‘operation show your permanent voters card’ among members of Chapel of Freedom world wide.
Dr Ibenu urged Christians, particularly those who have attained the age of eighteen, to go and obtain their voter cards to enable them to participate fully in the general elections and come with it next Sunday, adding that is one of its strategies to change bad governance in Nigeria.
