A coalition of youth groups have endorsed the aspiration of a former councilor, Hon. Sam Omale to represent the interest of the people of Ankpa II Constituency come 2023 on a platform of People Democratic Party (PDP).
The coalition which consist of Okaba Youths Progressive Forum, Ajobe Youths, Ojoku, Awo, Ogbagbala, Akatapia among others, explained that Sam would prioritise the concerns and interests of Ankpa II electorate, adding that he would also deliver greater benefits to all.
The coalition’s local coordinator, Muhammed Kabir Salifu, in a statement on Sunday, said Sam Omale is endowed with sterling qualities that would bring about positive change to the constituency.
According to him, besides of being a good person, Sam is committed to youth inclusion and believes in creating space for women and youth in politics.
He also explained that their support for him is motivated by their belief in supporting young people in the present political dispensation, adding that they would establish a central unit where assistance such as legal advice, branding and campaign materials would be extended to young aspirants.
“Amongst the aspirants that aspiring the position, both in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressive Congress (APC), none have a clear and good record like Sam Omale.
“He has contested before, but he lost because of one issues or the other. However, this time around, nobody can stop God’s mandate. God has ordained him and he shall be our next Kogi State House of Assembly member, representing us at the State level, come 2023,” he said.
