2023: ADC Aspirant Targets Youth, Vows to End Restiveness in Yagba West

Mr Ademola Olorunfemi, a frontline aspirant for Kogi State House of Assembly seeking to represent Yagba West constituency under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has vowed to end restiveness among the youths of the constituency if elected.

Ademola, who made the vow in Lokoja on Saturday while speaking with newsmen, expressed his determination to invest on youths and create value addition through empowerment.

According to him, youths deserve special attention and should not be ignored to become a burden to the society, saying youths were blessed with enormous talents, which are yet to be harnessed.

“I am targeting the youths if given the chance to serve my people. Youths deserve special attention for a better future.

“My priority is youths. I want to operate youth friendly policies to save Yagba West youths from restiveness, drug abuse, unemployment and other negative acts.

“I want to focus on sports, entertainment and help discover talents among our youths because they are naturally blessed with hidden talents,” he said.

The State House of Assembly hopeful told newsmen that he had provided sporting facilities to his home town  Oke-Ere, which he said was being well utilised.

Ademola listed the donated items for sporting activities in the areas to include football jerseys, training bibs, cones, soccer boots, balls, soccer pumps and whistles among other important football materials.

The aspirant urged the public to vote for his party, ADC, describing it as a party for the masses that had people oriented programmes that would better the lot of the constituents.

He expressed confidence that he would emerge the flag bearer of the party’s primaries come May 27.

“Come May 27, I believe I will emerge as the party flag bearer of our great party. I have no doubt in myself. I have what it takes to bear the party’s flag.

“Our party understands the game. We are all matured aspirants and I know everybody will accept the outcome of the primaries,” he said.

The ADC, he said, could compete with other parties, warning the public never to underrate the party.

“I know many people will not fancy our chance, but we can compete and win. We are coming with new ideologies that are masses-friendly in approach,” Admola assured the electorate.

He, however, sought for the supports of the electorates to actualise the ambition to represent the good people of Yagba West at the Kogi State House of Assembly.

He assured the public of transparency and a good representation at the state level.
