2019 Polls: APC Has Taken Over Ankpa – Halims

House of Representatives candidate, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken over Ankpa Local Government Area as there is no longer opposition in the area.

Hon Halims stated this during the party’s Ward to ward campaign at Inye town, Ankpa local government area of Kogi the state as he was dazed by the crowd that received him and other party stalwarts right from the community entrance affirming that the opposition party has been presently rendered inactive in the area.

“I am overwhelmed by the crowd I am seeing here today. This shows that the Peoples Democratic Party is dead in Inye, Enjema and Ankpa… I therefore call on you to support and vote for our party immensely as the party will be victorious and your vote strength will enable us deliver meaningful developmental projects that will improve the livelihood of all concern,” he said.

Hon Halims thereafter called on the people to maintain law and order before, during and after the elections stressing that “APC is known for peace and development and that peaceful coexistence is not negotiable for any personal or sectional interest, no matter what.”

Also speaking at the rally, The party flag bearer for Ankpa II State constituency, Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has so far embarked on unprecedented war against corruption, human capital development projects, pro masses initiatives in different sectors ranging from education, health, infrastructure and empowerment hence the need to ensure He and all APC candidates are elected come February 16th and March 2nd.

The Director General of APC campaign council of Ankpa Local Government, Hon Ibrahim Mohammed popularly known as “Ayuba Nana” also charged the people to “support and vote for APC throughout the general elections”.

Also present were the Honorable commissioner for Environment, Hon Sanusi Usman Yahaya, member representing Ankpa I constituency, Hon Ahmed Mohammed, the local government administrator, Hon John Aduga and all host of others.

Highlight of the day was the presentation of a brand new motorcycle machine by the member representing Ankpa II constituency at the Kogi state house of assembly, Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu to a party chieftain for his endless sacrifices, selfless service and over all commitment to the cause of the party in his area.

Earlier at the rally was the receiving of defectors from the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other political parties into the APC.
