Executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ankpa local government chapter, has endorsed the candidature of Daniel Yusuf, an aspirant vying for the Ankpa-Omala-Olamaboro House of Representatives seat.
The party chairman, Mr. Sam Aku dropped this hint during Yusuf’s declaration at a well attended ceremony in Ankpa on Saturday.
The party chief said the endorsement is based on Yusuf’s uniqueness and popularity among electorates.
He said the tumultuous welcome of the aspirant to Ankpa local government including the overwhelming support of ‎the people of Olamaboro and Omala where the candidate hails from, will reduce the tension of unhealthy competition in 2019.
Mr Sam Akuh said the people of Ankpa will not be left out of the impending victory based on PDP’s robust opposition in the last three years coupled with the failure of APC elected representatives at all levels in the country.
The local government chairman said the party executive in the area will not hesitate to support the aspiration of Mr Daniel Yusuf provided he will use his wealth of experience garnered over the years at the National Assembly to transform the area to a haven of social infrastructural development.
The party stalwart described the candidature of Mr Daniel Yusuf as ordained by God as thousands of supporters of PDP defied the early morning rain and series of wedding ceremonies to attend the declaration.
He declared the unflinching support of the people of the area to his aspiration, stating that it will be a better thing that will happen to Ankpa people in recent time ‎not minding the present order.
Earlier,‎ Mr Daniel Yusuf thanked the people of Ankpa for a rousing welcome and reception. He said his intention to run was to make himself available in service to humanity.
He promised to turn the present order of politics of deceit and ‎lack of confidence on the elected representatives, promising to live above board in people’s demand and development of the federal constituency.
