Hon Ahmed Yusuf Tijani Damisa, the leading candidate for Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency seat, has assured that he will continue to deliver grassroot development when reelected into the House of Representatives.
He gave the assurance in a statement made available to the press through the Spokesperson of the Damisa Central Working Committee, Mr. Aminu Press yesterday in Okene, Kogi state during the opening of Adayi Chatta’s  rehabilitated Mosque by Hon. Kabiru Onyene, the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Domestic Affairs.
Hon. Tijani commended Governor Yahaya Bello for giving opportunity to illustrious sons of Ebira to add to the development to the community. He praised Hon. Onyene for his vision for building the Holy house for the people of Bariki.
He used the medium to reiterate on his re-election bid. He said his goals are very clear and captured under the broad agenda he describes as ‘Grants Program for Grassroots’ (GPFG).
The statement reads in part: “So much potentials abound in Okene/Ogori-Magongo. It is a paradox of an unprecedented proportion that a region with such enormous wealth in treasures, natural and quality human resources has not had its fair share of development from the Federal Government.
“Human capital development must be aligned with inherent natural resources to reposition Okene/ Ogori-Magongo.
“It was against this backdrop that GPFG was hatched. Its objective is to galvanize youths, women of all age brackets, the men, the women, the highly and modestly educated in Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency towards attitudinal transformation and mindset liberation, which is a right harbinger for economic prosperity and development.
“GPFG is more than a mere slogan that is bandied about for political gains. It is all-encompassing. It is a philosophy. GPFG is a movement. GPFP is a development agenda. It is about a paradigm shift from the old unproductive order to new ways of doing things”.
He expressed concern that the political stage is currently being polluted by clannish sentiments being piloted by selfish individuals, who have no any other idea rather than parochial interest.
He stated that he will continue to inject the idea of politics devoid of sentiments into the mind of people. He said he will base his campaign on politics that will bring development to our community.
