All stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi state have been called to put heads together and see how they can come out with a consensus candidate for the forthcoming party’s primary.
The Kogi state Governor, Captain Idris Wada made the appeal at Idah during his continuation of local government tour in the state.
He mentioned that it will very good and healthy for the party if the leaders of the party across the state put heads together and come out with a candidate that will be acceptable for other people.
He also added that in a situation where an agreement could not be reach for a consensus candidate the party will then conduct free and fair primary for all the contestants.
He assured the people of Ida that his government will continue to embark on people’s oriented Programme adding that his administration will remain focus in order to meet the well being of the people of the state.
Captain Wada therefore assured members of the party in the state that their is no anointed aspirant or candidate from him as he was determined to see that who ever is the party’s candidate must be elected through process.
He commended the Chairman of Ida Local Government Council, Dr. Major Musa for the laudable Programme he has embarked urging him to do more for the people.
