The leaders of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kabba Bunu LGA have concluded plans to rig the forthcoming House of Assembly primary in favour of incumbent Nathaniel Taiwo.
The publicity secretary of Prince Kolawole Campaign Organisation, Prince Femi Olugbemi, raised the alarm yesterday in Lokoja while addressing newsmen.
According to him, the party leaders have been compromised by Hon Nathaniel Taiwo who has been ‘servicing’ these leaders to the detriment of the masses.
“We have tested Hon Nathaniel with Chairmanship of Kabba Bunu LGA and now, House of Assembly. In these two positions spanning 7 years, Nathaniel failed to meet the yearnings of the people of Kabba Bunu”, he said.
“Walk around the streets of Owe and Bunu towns and villages and seek opinions of the masses about Nathaniel, they are not happy with his representation. He has performed woefully in the House and PDP risk electoral failure if we field Nathaniel for House of Assembly”
Prince Olugbemi called on Governor Idris Wada and other state leaders of the party to intervene immediately and ensure a level playing ground for all aspirants. He urged the party at the state level to ensure that the compromised leaders do not harrass and intimidate delegates in the forthcoming primary.

He said, “All we are asking for is a conducive, free and fair primary where delegates are allowed to vote based on their conscience”
