158 Communities in Adavi LG Honours Council Chairman With Outstanding Administrator Award

The one hundred and fifty-eight communities in Adavi local government area of Kogi state has conferred an award on the council chairman, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami.

Presenting the award to the council boss on behalf of the Joint Community Development Association (JCDA) in Ogaminana on Saturday, the Ohi of Adavi, HRH Dr. Mohammed Bello, said Hon. Omuya Salami was singled out for the ‘Outstanding Administrator’ honours for being a workaholic and result-oriented personality.

The monarch added that the unanimous decision by JCDA was in recognition of the council chairman’s outstanding administrative and professional performance, and to also encourage excellence and innovation.

The awards were presented during the inauguration of new executives of Adavi Joint Community Development Association at the local government secretariat.

The Ohi of Adavi affirmed that the award is well deserved by the council chairman, acknowledging that Hon. Joseph Omuya is very reserved, focused leader who does not brag over his achievements.

He added that what the council boss has achieved secretly for the people of Adavi is more than what he says out or what people see on social media.

The revered royal father said since he met the council boss, he has always been proud of him, admire his leadership qualities, coupled with serenity and peace being enjoyed in local government.

“Your performance will speak for you. You are doing an excellent job. I am a teacher and if asked to give Hon. Joseph Omuya a pass mark, he will score him 99.99%,” he said.

In his keynote address, the council chairman appreciated Adavi Joint Community for the honour, support, and commendations.

He admitted that no amount of money can quantify, negotiate, or buy the huge recognition from 158 communities that made up Adavi local government, adding that it is an honour and privilege that will push him to do more and remain committed to the progress of his people.

“This is one of my best days since my existence. This honour means a lot to me, and will be forever grateful for this noble gesture.”

He dedicated the award recognition to Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for finding him worthy to serve the good people of Adavi, and vowed that he would continue to make him proud.

Other notable awardees include Senator Yakubu Oseni, Dr. Sanusi Muhammed Ohiare and Alh. Oseni Aduvusu.
