12 Secondary Schools Begin Battle for Independence Cup in Kogi

Kogireports.com in conjunction with Gee-Touch World and Events and Savidnews.com is organising football tournament tagged “The Independence Cup” to mark the Nigeria 63rd Independence day.
The exciting competition will commence today, Tuesday 24th September, 2013 in Lokoja while the finals is slated for Ist October, 2013.The participating eight secondary schools in Kogi state are Scintillate College Lokoja, Christfield College Lokoja, Arigbede College Lokoja, Kings and Queens College Lokoja, Government Day Secondary School Lokoja, Al-Ansar College Lokoja and Baptist College
Lokoja.Others are Crowther Memorial College Lokoja, Baptist College Lokoja, Army Day Secondary School and Freedom Faith School Lokoja.
The CEO of Gee Touch World and Events, Grace Adamu said that organising a football tournament was in spirit of celebrating Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day.
While stressing the firm’s ambition in promoting grassroots Sports and talents, Adamu noted that the aims of the events managing firm, are tuned towards meeting the unlimited needs of the Nigerian populace at all works of life.
She added that the firm’s partnership with online media platforms – Kogireports.com and SavidNews.com was hinged on common passion for development and a bid to ensure Kogites all over the world get to know about the event and get them involved in sports development at the grassroot level.
