Factions of Motorcycle (Okada) Riders’ Association in Anyjgba in Dekina Local Government Area have been unified following the dissolution of the executive members of the organisation by the Acting Chairman of the Area, Hon Andrew Odiba.
During the exercise, the Chairman reminded all stakeholders that Governor Idris Wada’s administration would not condone any act of lawlessness under any guise and advised members of the Association to operate within the confines of law and order.
According to a press statement made available to The Graphic by the Information Officer of the Area, Mr Samuel Usman, the Chairman dissolved the executive members at the LG secretariat in Dekina, and constituted a caretaker committee instantly.
The statement had it that the dissolution was sequel to a series of futile efforts to resolve lingering crisis and leadership tussle among the executive, culminating in the emergence of factions of the union.

The trend, according to the statement, became worrisome; as it led to breach of peace.
The Chairman therefore warned that ‘’Governor Idris Wada’s administration will not tolerate individuals or associations in any guise to cause disaffection to the people of the state.’’
He also cautioned the dissolved union officials to be law-abiding and support the interim committee members to entrench enduring peace in the area.
Hon Odiba urged the people of the area to go about their normal businesses, assuring that their lives and property would be protected.
He charged the caretaker committee members to run the affairs of the association faithfully, conduct election within three months and maintain peace.
Members of the interim committee are: Dauda Tijani (Chairman), Yusufu Sule, Ocheje Atajachi, Zekeri Yahaya, Umar Usman, Hon Ogu Mohammed, State Security Service and Barrister Mike Oyibo (Secretary).
Responding on behalf of members, Dauda Tijani thanked Hon Odiba for the appointment, promising to restore peace among union members. He said they would not betray the confidence reposed in them.
