The Mopa Welfare Society has congratulated Governor Ododo Ahmed Usman on his 100 days in office as the Executive Governor of Kogi State.

Speaking with Press men in Lokoja, the state capital, Chief Samuel Elere, the National President of the Society, said 100 days is not enough to assess the success of any administration but it is enough for strategic analysts to prophesy the direction an administration is heading.

Elere said so far from the appointments announced, the policy paths already defined, the inter arms harmony between the various arms of government, the improvement in the payment salary rate for workers, the solid infrastructure takeoff as seen in the ongoing GYB junction to Meme bridge road construction and others, as well as the peace and tranquility across the state so far.

“These and more are solid indicators of good things to come. As a Community, we congratulate His Excellency and wish him more wins ahead,” he said.

The National President reminded the Governor of two very crucial matters going forward.

“First, is the Kogi State College of Education Technical Mopa; as it is our prayer that His Excellency will as a matter of urgency look into the current constraints mitigating against the smooth take off of the institution.

“Secondly, we are pleading with our amiable Governor to look into the issue of Mopa General Hospital which has already been earmarked for upgrading by the immediate past Governor when the state of the hospital was brought to his attention by Hon. Idris Ashiru and Hon. Kingsley Fanwo based on the Mopa Welfare Society agitations to the extent that key government functionaries has visited the facility. This facility is the only standard health facility in the entire Mopamuro Local Government and since health is wealth, we want the Governor to come to our rescue,” the President said.
