It is no longer gainsaid that the All Progressive Congress (APC) change mantra in Kogi state is yielding great results across the state.
This has been proven by the policies and actions of the incumbent Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello which has greatly transform the people of the state.
The Governor’s latest achievement is the appointment of great men with like-minds to chair the 21 local government areas of the state. These local government administrators were inaugurated few days ago but their actions so far seems to be yielding great results more than expected.
In Ajaokuta local government before now, insecurity had been the order of the day as men of the underworld (arm-robbers) took over Ajaokuta – Okene road as if it was their father’s territory, killing innocent citizens and robbing others of their belongings. The appointment of Hon. Akaaba Mustapha and other members of the committee have brought succour and security to the people of Ajaokuta local government.
Few days after his inauguration, the caretaker chairman and other members of the committee met with Adogo Division Police Officer and the Chief Security Officer of Ajaokuta Vigilante Group and charged them to rise up to their expectations and bring the culprits to justice. Having known that one of the major challenges of the people presently is insecurity, Hon. Akaaba promised to support the security officers by giving them due attention when necessary.
He said, “Put these bad boys on flight. Enough of their callous and wicked acts in our vicinity. This entity called Ajaokuta must breathe a breath of relief”.
This action has yielded great result as two of the arm-robbers met their very timely death in the hands of the security agents in the local government this Tuesday along Apanko road. It was learnt that the hoodlums were on a mission to raid innocent citizens when they met their match.
With this great achievement of the administrative committee in few days, it is hoped that the era of insecurity in Ajaokuta local government is over.
