Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Matthew Kolawole has conveyed sincere condolences to the Governor of Kogi State, Ahaji Yahaya Bello over the death of his stepmother, Madam Rekiya Momoh Bello.
The Speaker also grieved with the immediate family, the Kogi State Government and the people of the state over the demise of Madam Bello.
According to him, it is painful to lose a loved ones at a critical time as this, when her prayers and words of admonitions will be needed most.
He said Governor Yahaya Bello should take solace in the word of God which says, all mortal comes from God and shall return to Him; as there is time to be born and a time to die, stressing that the testimonies of people about her show that she lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation.
He urged the children to uphold her legacy of commitment, truthfulness and caring for others.
He prayed that God Almighty grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest.
The Speaker, on behalf of the members of the 7th Assembly, management and staff of the Kogi State House of Assembly, commiserate with Governor Yahaya Bello, family and the people of the state over the death of Madam Rekiya Momoh Bello, praying that God will grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
