Kogi state Commissioner for Transportation, Prince Sani Ogu Salisu, while congratulating Prof Stephen Ocheni, has hailed Acting President Yemi Osinbajo for the bold step taken in assigning portfolios to the news ministers sworn-in recently.

In his words; “while I congratulate our erudite professor over this great feat, I want to also applaud the doggedness of the acting president as this has not only filled the vacuum created hitherto but put to shame all those assuming the acting president acts only by orders stressing that the government of change is all about due process and rule of law.”

The portfolios of the two ministers were made known before the commencement of this week’s Federal Executive council meeting at the Aso Rock villa in Abuja.

The acting president also swore-in 15 permanent secretaries earlier before the federal cabinet members went into a closed door session.

The Professor, Stephen ocheni is now minister of state for labour and productivity while his counterpart, Suleiman Hassan is to serve as minister of state for power, works and housing.

Prof Stephen Ocheni shall be replacing late James Ocholi who died in a car accident last year while Alhaji Hassan is to replace Amina Muhammad who resigned upon her appointment as assistant secretary general of the United Nations.

The young commissioner concluded by praying for the repose of the deceased minister who was his boss to continue to rest in peace and wished the former Minister for environment, Mrs Amina Muhammad success in her international career.
