Council Chairman Order Arrest of ‘Pastor’ Selling ‘Bullet-Proof Water’ in Kogi

Chairman of Okene Local Government Council, Kogi State, Hon. Abduraraq Muhammad has directed security agencies to arrest and investigate the activities of Pastor Peter Michonza of New Jerusalem Deliverance Ministry.

Pastor Michonza became popular after a video surfaced on social media where it was alleged that the clergy was selling ‘bulletproof water’ to his disciples.

The presiding pastor of New Jerusalem Church located within Ageva axis of Okene was also alleged to be running labour wards for pregnant women in his Church, aside other medically unacceptable practices which has reportedly led to the death of many.

Michonza’s arrest was confirmed by Okene local government Chairman’s media aide, Abdulmumin Abubakar.

According to Abdulmumin, the pastor was arrested on Monday by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) for investigation.

“As directed by the Local Government Chairman, the presiding pastor of New Jerusalem Church has been arrested. Peter was picked up this morning by operatives of DSS and investigation commenced immediately,” he said.
