A former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has described the panel of inquiry set up by the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello to probe his administration and that of former governor Idris Wada as mere chasing of shadows.

He made this known on Thursday in Lokoja during the 70th birthday celebration of Dr. Stephen Olorunfemi a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State.

He said that the panel of inquiry has not been able to find anything against the past governments.

According to him, the governor Bello-led government has failed to meet the yearnings of the Kogi people who had expected so much from him at the inception of his government.

He said that the PDP has learnt from its mistakes and would work hard to take over power come 2019.

“We have learn from our past mistakes and we now know how to arrange our plates and calabashes together so they don’t break again”, he said.

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris also said that with the peaceful conduct of the PDP National Convention the party is becoming stronger, adding that those who left the party are already coming back.

He noted that that the leadership of the party was working round the clock to make sure that the aggrieved members after the party’s convention are reconciled.
