The member representing Ankpa 2 constituency at the Kogi State house of assembly, Hon Alfa Mommoh Rabiu has expressed his solidarity and continued support to Kogi workers particularly those of Ojoku-Enjema extraction as the mark this year workers day nationwide.

The legislator who expressed his regret and grief at  the circumstances which unavoidably prevented Kogi workers from marking this year workers day noted that there will always be ease after  hardship. Stressing further that the perseverance of Kogi workers in the face of the just concluded screening exercise is very unprecedented.

In his submission: “it is regrettably sad that Kogi workers have through its block votes, the NLC and TUC earlier informed of their plans to boycott this year workers day but I pray the issues surrounding workers welfare will be resolved in the shortest possible time.”

He thereafter congratulated labour unions nation wide and charged them to imbibe the spirit of diligence and prudent justification of responsibilities at all time noting that no matter how delayed, there is always a reward for every good effort.

May 1st has been hitherto set aside as a national public holiday for the celebration of workers day and this year May 1st is not an exception as the Federal Government still sustains the tempo.
