The wife of the administrator for Lokoja Local Government, Hajiya Fatima Shiru has described wife of the Governor, Mrs Rashida Bello as a woman with the milk of human kindness who undertsnds the pains of the people at the grassroots.
Speaking while assessing Mrs Rashida’s project, Kogi Women and Youths Advancement Foundation (KOWYAF), she said she has been able to provide interventionist measures towards assisting the needy, the ss privileged, women, youths, the new born and men in the society.
She said Mrs Bello’s psssion was what drove her into renovating and sinking of new boreholes, equipping of healthcare facilities, donation of drugs, donation of power generating machines, refrigerators and several others at Primary Health Care Centres in the three senatorial zones of Kogi State.
According Hajiya Fatima Shiru, the milk of human kindness in the wife of the Governor has also seen her visit orphanages where she spent quality time with the children at the homes and donated several instructional materials to Primary and Secondary schools in the three (3) senatorial zones following the launch of her new project, DROP.
She said through the project, the wife of the Governor has tasked them as wives of administrators to domesticate the project, which, through support of her amiable husband, Hon Lawal Shiru, she was able to replicate it in Lokoja Local Government Area.
The wife of Lokoja LGA administrator, who thanked Hajiya Rashida Bello for the way she is taking the wives of the 21 Local Government Areas along, said they have learnt alot under her and are always ready to work with her at all times.
While thanking Hajiya Rashia for the support and guide she always gives them, she expressed the resolve of other wives of administrators in the remaining 20 Local Government Areas of the to emulate Hajiya Rashida by ensuring that they mobilise women and youths in their domains for the success of programmes lined up under the new direction administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
In her words; “Anything that would bring about adequate and efficient mobilisation of our women and youths is something my husband supports very well. He is an advocate of women and youth empowerment and that is why he does not joke with programmes of His Excellency, the Governor, and that of Hajiya Rashida Bello,” she concluded.
