The assembly Pastor of The Apostolic Church, Ganaja Junction, Lokoja Kogi State, Pastor Lot Babatunde Memonuwon says the vision of many Nigerians have been killed due to lack of corresponding actions to back up their plans on earth.

Memonuwon stated this during his Sunday sermon in Lokoja titled “the secret of success”.

The clergy, who picked his text from the book of 2 Chronicles, expressed worries over the increasing poverty rate in the country.

He noted that many Nigerians have their destinies tied down while others have failed to work on themselves for them to succeed.

“Look at it today, Dangote, Bill Gate, Obasanjo and others are prominent men because they backed their visions with actions. You don’t expect success with a mere pronouncement, that is why poverty is everywhere.

“Carry out a survey round the 36 state of the federation, you will see for yourself that many in Nigeria are suffering, and they find it difficult to feed three times daily. To me, it is self inflicted.

“This is because nobody was born poor in the sight of God. Recession or no recession, when you are committed to your visions, backed with your efforts definitely you won’t taste suffering.

“No doubt you can’t rule out some issues in the country why there is poverty in the land, but is is worthy to note that some Nigerians who are graduate are running away from petty job that could earn them millions in the future.

“All they want is immediate gratification without considering the implications. Dangote had a vision and he backed it with actions before he came a multi billionaire today.”

While noting that failure on earth is not in the dictionary of God in heaven, the preacher observed that successes in the world have also been misconstrued only for riches and numbers of properties acquired on earth.

He noted that the height of success is the ability to impact positively in lives of the people who are finding it difficult to make it in life.

On the secret of success, he enjoined Nigerians to always meditate on God’s word, pray  and put their vision to work in bid to achieve it in life.
