Wada Presents N110b Budget of Stability for 2015

The 2015 budget as presented by Capt Idris Wada, the Kogi State Governor, has been described as an icing on the cake, designed to consolidate on the total transformation agenda of the present administration.

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, stated this after the presentation of the 2015 budget estimate tagged, “Budget of Stability” to the State House of Assembly, by Gov. Idris Wada.

Awoniyi described the N110,212,837,567 billion budget as a total package that is about the people,disclosed that it is well articulated to consolidate on the ongoing infrastructural development in the state, and explains that the budget estimate has the well being of the people in mind.

The Deputy Governor particularly lauded the plans for job creation, the emphasis placed on economic, youth and women empowerment, rural development and completion of on going projects in the state as what makes the 2015 budget a well prepared document, and assured that the state would be better for it when implemented maintaining that the budget clearly addresses the people’s need.

Awoniyi appealed to the people to continue to have an abiding faith in the Capt Wada led administration, maintaining that the governor’s good intention, as encapsulated in his transformation agenda, has no doubt placed the state on a sound footing.

Awoniyi equally commended the state governor for making the welfare of the workers in the state civil service a priority in the 2015 budget, urged for the people’s support to enable the full implementation of the budget.

Awoniyi commended the budget for been compliant with the public sector accounting standard,in line with best global practice, described the budget as realizable, transparent and with measures that makes it accountable.

    Point of correction, honourable imam should not be addressed as the speaker kogi state house of assembly again, there is an existing court order that the process that brought him in is invalid. So is this fact so hard for the press people in kogi to understand??? Especially the NTA, and confluence radio in the state.
