The City of Abuja was shaken to the core on the occasion of NUMA Awards ceremony as the maiden event which took place On the 25th of March 2017 recorded a great stride of success at the Women Development Centre ABUJA.
The event was graced by the Chief of Staff to the Kogi State governor, Chief Edward David Onoja, some members of Kogi state House of Assembly, some state commissioners, delegates from senators, corporate organizations and other individuals of high calibre.
We are so much glad that the much awaited event has come to witness limelight. Considering what we went through, it is obvious that this couldn’t have been successful without the help of God and some other individuals who has shared in this vision and as well acted upon it, this is why we wish to take our time to say a BIG ‘thanks you’ to our project friends and Sponsors, they have really done well.
First of all Our unreserved appreciations goes to the Office of the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo for his recognition of this initiative, National Executive of CAN under the Able leadership of Pastor Supo Adekunle ,Deacon Ayo Adegboye of Shinider Electronics west Africa , The National President of National Cashew association of Nigeria( NCAN) Mr Tola Faseru, we also wish to heartily appreciate the Kogi state Government most especially the Chief of Staff to the governor, in person of Hon. Edward Onoja for his immeasurable support and Hon Victor Omofaiye Adewale of Kogi state house of Assembly representing the good people of Ijumu Constituency for his kind and shower of Love to NICHYPP.
We thank all those who have contributed in cash, in Kind and even in prayers to the success of this great gathering. It is our pleasure to also appreciate those who make out their time to attend this event, our special guests, our Award recipients, our guest speaker and NICHYPP members, we are much grateful.
To those who wished to be with us but couldn’t meet up due to the current Abuja Airport Challenges or other Personal issue we sincerely appreciate your concern and good faith.
It is our joy to make it known to the public that all our awardees are men and women of repute whose work and contributions to politics and nation building deserves our awards as such we didn’t commercialize our awards or gave them out arbitrarily, we were only wise enough to fulfil the scriptural mandate which commands us to ‘give honor to whom it is due’.
The simple message we are passing across is that Nigerians must develop the habit of celebrating our leaders while they are alive and not when they are no more.
Reports got to us that all and sundry who attended this prestigious event from various part of the country have arrived to their various destinations successfully, we therefore return all glory to God for a dream come through, we on this note call upon our awardees to know that it is an award of honour as well as a call to duty and responsibility therefore “to whom much is given much will be expected”. They should buckle their belts and do more for this nation by raising up high the banner of righteousness and purity in the polity of this nation.
As for the upcoming leaders, those people are worthy of emulation and we urge you all to always remain outstanding for Christ in politics and in the society.
May the Lord continue to Bless Nigerian Politics with more and more godly politicians in JESUS name.
