Ramadhan: Awoniyi Urge Muslims to Pray for Leaders

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi, has congratulated muslims on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan and the celebration of Eid–el-fitr.

Awoniyi, in his eid-il-fitr  message called on Muslims to use the celebration to pray for the success of the Capt Idris Wada’s administration.

Awoniyi urged Muslims to make enduring the lessons of kindness, fear of God, spirit of sharing with the needy as exemplified by Prophet Mohammed.

According to Awoniyi, Muslims should make the lessons of Eid-el fitr a lasting experience through sustained devotion to Allah, upholding the peaceful teachings of the Quran and the holy prophet adding that the country more than ever before needs prayers for peace and unity.

The Deputy Governor advised Muslims, and indeed Nigerians, to shun all forms of vices that could hinder harmonious co-existence, reminding muslims to celebrate the Eid-el-fitr with optimism for progress and prosperity of the nation and the state in particular.
He called on Nigerians to continue to appreciate its strength as a people which he noted lies in her ethnic and religious diversity’s.

Awoniyi prayed “God to flood Kogi State with happiness and all the joys of life in the years ahead.
