PDP Crisis: Kogi LG Chairmen Throws Weight Behind Gov Wada

The chairman of the Kogi State Chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, (ALGON) Aloysius Okino, has restated the forums support for the governor, Captain Idris Wada and the leadership of the ruling party, the PDP in the state.

The chairman who stated this yesterday, in a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Strategy to Kogi ALGON, Ibrahim Obansa, said that the Governor as the leader of the party has ensured the unity of all members in the last one and half years that he assumed office.

As elders of the Peoples democratic party,(PDP), are taking steps to resolve the leadership crisis in the party.

He noted that the association’s members are appreciative of the dynamic leadership style of the Governor Capt. Idris Wada and the party leadership in the state, saying that this has guaranteed peaceful co-existence among party members.

The ALGON boss also maintained that the 21 LGA executive chairmen are satisfied with the implementation of the transformation agenda of the governor, particularly in the areas of agriculture, progressive youths development, healthcare delivery amongst others fashioned to bring succour to the people of the state.

He said the party (PDP), and its leadership has provided a level playing ground for everyone which he said was responsible for the success of the party in all its previous outings.

“The governor His Excellency, Captain Idris Wada in the last one and half years has ensured the unity of party members. The party leadership have also provided a level playing ground for everyone. This is what was responsible for the victory of the party in its outings in the past” he stressed.

Okino called on all PDP members and supporters to continue to support the programmes of the party in the state to enable the elected officers to continue to deliver the good dividends of democracy to the people.

He assured that as elected officers of the party, ALGON members will also accord the party and its leadership their well deserved honour, even as he promised that they will always respect party supremacy.

“The party is supreme. As elected officers under the association, we would continue to accord the party and its leaders the needed respect which they rightly deserved” he said
