It is easy for people to accept fake governance like that of former council chairman’s in a manner that is inconsistent with ideal change or the rescue mission. A crippling system that only favor a few and feed peanuts to the masses.
Genuine governance is not cheap! And real Rescue Mission and “New Direction” requires time, tact and truth.
The incumbent administrator, on assumption of office as a caretaker undertook a path that is unpopular to the people and unacceptable to the few greedy and school of sycophants.
Many have been deceived by the so-called elite and leaders that are out of government that there is suffering caused by the current government and that the New Direction is a hoax. However, the New Direction remains a sure path to peace and progress but only a few with a heart for lokoja local government will understand and will be patient enough to see it as such.
It is to be known to all and sundry, that positive change is a common word that people yearn for but is often resisted by those who will be exposed by it.
The change we seek is not in any man or leader but in our collective resolve to transform the fortunes of our society and local government.
The Hon Lawal Shiru future reassurance mantra is the symbol of genuine change because he has successfully carried out lots of tangible project that are people’s driven, address some issues of workers syndrome rocking the local government.
While I also call our people on the need to rally round Hon Lawal Shiru and the present leadership of Gov. Yahaya Bello. No doubt, it is only someone who has a deep knowledge of administration, who understands the vision and dynamics, who has engaged with the complex challenged of implementing key projects that can appreciate the administrator because he is an astute manager of human and materials resources.
Sequel to his laudable and remarkable achievements, he is an unassuming personality who derived joy and pleasure in putting smiles in the face of people by using his position as veritable vehicles to contribute to the social well- being of the people.
Achievements of Lawal Shiru’s administration of several life-transforming programmes such as the under listed programmes were successfully carried out and paid for while some are on going: –
Completion of primary health care centre, Renovation of Local Government Modern Primary School at Cantonment, Renovation of Cottage Hospital at kungbani on going, planning on going for the construction of leprosy and TB control programs at the Local Government.
Under his watch he is already trying its possible best to get counterpart cash contribution from the state government sustained payment of coyness salary structure to medical and health workers of the rural areas and it will interest one to know that the peoples Administrator is much concerned about the health status and well being of is people.
His administration has introduced number of people oriented programmes and projects designed to drive the local government forward economically and socially.
The administrator has concluded arrangement to equipped four Mega Schools in Lokoja to bring the standard of education in secondary schools in line with global standards. He has equally rehabilitated 6 classrooms.
The Administrator has, already designed a pathway for a new Lokoja with a taste of class and excellence and committing only materials of quality and durability in executing his projects.
Common knowledge expects that any government that will work in truth will be firmly resisted and blackmailed. Which is the unfortunate experience we see in Lokoja Local government.
We may have reasons to doubt his unfolding intentions but we should also be sensible enough to know that great things take time and good things don’t come easy. In my honest opinion, let’s not judge a book by its cover and let us give the good intentions of the administrator the benefits of doubt and then, only then are we permitted morally to
judge him down or up.
Hon Shiru Lawal is working strategically, not speculatively (no eye service). Noise makers are the rule breakers sabotaging candid efforts.
When the chips are down let no one swing their tails in between their legs and run off in shame but let us rally round and give him a deserving applause and thumb print for it’s Continuity.
