Ndako Appeals to Kogi Govt to Call on FERMA to Repair Potholes on Felele-Lokoja-Abuja Road

An appeal has gone to Kogi State Government to call on Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA, to the repair the pot holes around the Felele axis of Abuja-Lokoja road.
The appeal was made by Hon Idris Ndako, member representing Lokoja II state constituency in the state House of Assembly in a motion of urgent public importance.
He said the recurrence of fatal accidents on the Felele-Lokoja-Abuja highway which recently led to the lost of over 20 innocent lives and properties worth millions of Naira destroyed is becoming a source of concern.
“In view of the above, I stand to move this motion calling on state government to as a matter of public importance to intervene by doing some work on the potholes as we are awaiting FERMA to repair the areas concerned along Lokoja-Abuja highway”, he said.
Ndako commiserates with the families of the victims of fuel tanker accident and appealed to the state government to compensate those who lost their properties in the inferno.
He called on the state government to establish and equip more fire service stations along Lokoja-Banda-Abuja road to tackle emergency situations within the area.
Ndako commended the state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the urgent visit to the scene of the accident. The motion was seconded by Hon Sunday Abayomi Pedro, member representing Mopamuro state constituency.
He commended the mover of the motion and described him as a lawmaker who is always passionate about the people of his constitute.
