Makarfi: Wada, Idris, Ogbeha Hail Judgement

The immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Captain Idris Wada, his predecessor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris and Senator Tunde Ogbeha have all hailed the supreme Court for towing the part of truth in the judgement that delivered victory to the Ahmed Makarfi led faction of the party yesterday.

The trio in separate telephone interviews called for unity of members saying there is no victor no vanquished because the victory is for PDP and for all Nigerians.

Wada indicated that the judgement is basically the truth saying that the truth would always prevail like smoke, no matter how any person try to cover it it will come out.

He asked all members to see judgement as an opportunity for reconciliation and consolidation for moving the party forward.

He said the victory coming on the heels of the good outing of the party in Osun State by election he said it is a good omen.

“It is an umbrella party that cuts across the entire country so our chances are bright and we shall work hard for victory in the next election.

“With all the upheavals we can say PDP has learnt its lesson very squarely, every member has learnt their lessons you know it affected all of us. With the lessons learnt we will make amends.”

He advised all members to join hands to move the party forward in the spirit of unity as it was done during the Osun Election.

“We are one party, we are brothers and sisters we come together and work for the progress of the party and for the interest of all our country.

Former Governor Idris said it is a victory for all, victory for PDP and victory for Nigeria

He explained that political crises was normal in every political party and PDP was not an exception.

“I still believe it is a normal thing that happen to any party and it is very important for the members to stick together and iron out their differences so now that it has taken this shape we are happy and we savour the victory in fact no victor no vanquished.”

He expressed the optimism that PDP will bounce back from all indications adding based on what is happening, it will regain its loss glory.

There is need for us to come together as members of the same party even as he expressed the believe every member will accept the judgement so that they can work together and come back strong as a united party.

Senator Tunde Ogbeha said the victory is a victory that they were expecting adding that it is a very fair judgement that will assist PDP to move forward by planning its strategy.

“It is a sweet victory and it is a victory for the majority of PDP members

Coming after the party triumph in the Osun by election he said it only proves that PDP is on the march again.

“We will use these two events to galvanize PDP to become stronger and better opposition to win the next election
On the lesson from the upheavals he said it is a lesson of democracy urging everyone to be patient and do what is right.

He said everyone must be fair and just in all of the party’s activities in the future.

“Everything is over what is left is for us to teem up together to make PDP great again.”
