The Yagba East Progressive Movement (YEPM) has assured the leadership of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) of landslide victory in the forthcoming local government election in Yagba East Local Government Area.
The leader of the group, Mr Sule Iroko gave this assurance during a media interaction with newsmen in Isanlu.
Iroko hinged his confidence on the aggressive mobilization effort of his group in selling the candidature of the PDP flagbearer in Yagba East, Otunba F.G. Ibrahim.
“We have mobilized voters in all the ten wards that made up Yagba East and the response of our people to our campaign is very positive”, he said.
Sule Iroko downplayed perceived electoral threat from the opposition as wishful thinking.
“With due respect to candidates from opposition parties, I don’t think we have a better option to Otunba F.G. Ibrahim at the moment. F.G Ibrahim will win with a landslide and sincere opposition members know this”
“Our group, Yagba East Progressive Movement is trusted by electorates given our antecedents. We live up to expectations and we abhor oppressive politics. We are not resting on our oars yet, our mobilization drive is on-going and we are confident that we will deliver Yagba East to PDP”
