“Let Us Not Wallow In The Valley of Despair” – Echocho Urges Supporters in New Year Message

I wish you all the best as we are ushered into the new year 2013 by the grace Allah WST.

Thank you brothers and sisters who in one way or the other is involved in the struggle to recover our stolen mandate.

I am not unmindful that some of us have gone through great trials and tribulations while keeping hope alive. We have been the veterans of creative suffering. We shall continue to work with the faith that unearned injustice is redemptive.

Knowing that this situation can and will be changed. Let us not wallow in the valley of despair.

We refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt.

We refuse to believe that there is insufficient fund in the great vault of opportunity of our state.

Some time Allah SWT takes everything from you so that you may turn to Him. And sometimes Allah SWT places certain people who let you down in your life to teach you that you should never depend on anyone but Him.

Allah SWT will not let us down.

Now is the time for us to lift our state from the hands of the oppressors.

It is time to rise from the dark and desolate Valley of injustice.

Those who, hope that We will give up for them to continue to embezzle the state patrimony will have a rude awakening when the final Court stands on the warm threshold which will lead into the palace of justice.

Inspite of the difficulties and the frustrations of the time past, I still have a dream. This dream is deeply rooted in the Kogi dream.

I have a dream that one day this state will rise up and lieve out the true meaning of its creed.

I have a dream that one day even Kogi state, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice and corruption will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that one day the state whose past governor and some so call elders lips are dripping with the words of interposition and nullifications will be transformed into a situation where the oppressed will legally take the mantle of leadership of Kogi state.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hills and mounting shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight and glory of the lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.

This is our hope, this is the faith with which we are in the court.

With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our state into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood.

With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to stand up for justice, knowing that we will get victory one day soon.

This will be the day when all like minded kogites will sing with new meaning.

We have faith in God.

I urge you to pray for those who hurt us. This year, you will see clearly that God is God of vengeance.

Our mandate is of God, accepted and loved by the people.

Thank you all for your support, the favor of God will not elude you in this year 2013.

God is involved…

Alh. Jibrin Isah (Echocho)
