Lawmaker Urges Government to Invest in Education to Boost Economy

The member of Kogi State House of Assembly representing Lokoja 11 state constituency, Honourable Idris Ndako has called on government at all levels to invest in education to boost the economy.

He said this during his visit to Jamata in continuation of his visit to his constituents.

Ndako stressed the need to focus on development of educational sector and preservation of structures as well as investment in education as a veritable means of reviving the ailing and declining sector.

He explained that he embarked on the visit to see things for himself as regards the constituency projects which would be in phases.

“I am here to inform you that the three dilapidated class rooms blocks would be demolished and new structures of three blocks of class rooms with the headmaster’s office would be build,engineers has since been mobilized to site” he said

Hon Ndako further stated that the constituency projects would be done in phases according to the demands and need of each wards, saying “the problems facing each wards varies that’s way the constituency projects will depend on the problems and needs of the people “

He assured his people of his determination to embark in projects that has direct bearing to the people of his constitute.

Ndako advised elected and political office holders to empower the indigent and provide gainful employment to unemployed youths who he said, championed the enthronement of democracy.

While reiterating the need for both elected and appointed representative to start giving back to the society, the lawmaker remarked that with the current economic realities, it is obvious that governments alone cannot put smiles on the faces of our people.
