Kogi State Ministry Of Rural Development Improves Power Supply In Agassa

In pursuance of putting an end to epileptic power supply in Kogi central senatorial district and its environs, the Kogi state ministry of rural development has completed works on the improvement of the Agassa power distribution lines. The development came to bear during an on spot visitation by the honorable commissioner of rural development and his management team.
Speaking at the site, the commissioner for rural development, Hon Enema Paul expressed satisfaction in the pace at which the project was executed noting that the government of his excellency, Alh Yahaya Bello is determined to evenly spread development across the state.
“Governor Yahaya Bello is more than ever ready to deliver true dividends to the people of Kogi state and thank you most sincerely for carrying out the job aptly and in corroboration with the ministry’s specifications. This project shall be commissioned by his excellency in due time as post generational project like this one is what the new direction government shall use in giving her final account to the people of Kogi state.”
On his part, the contractor handling the project, Engr Onwa of new moon Nigeria limited expressed delight at the commissioners satisfaction noting that the injection station has the capacity to supply the area for the next twenty five years as the transformers is rated at 500KVA, 11KV.
It will be recalled that the ministry had earlier embarked on high tension electrification works at Zango-Banda, improved supply at the Ankpa-Abejukolo power lines and a substation was set up in Ogori-Magongo earlier. Hence, the ministry’s resolve to make turn around in rural and urban power supply is not only progressing but at seemingly fast fulfilment.
