Kogi State Hajj Commission Not in Crisis – Fanwo

The Director General on Media and Publicity to the Governor of Kogi State, Kingsley Fanwo has refuted claims in some quarters that the Kogi State Hajj Commission is in crisis.

A section of the press recently alleged the Commission has been enmeshed in crisis, leading to why it could not defend its proposed budget before the State House of Assembly.

But in a swift reaction, the Governor’s spokesman waved off the reports as “unfounded and false”, saying the Commission will soon defend its budgets estimates before the Honourable House.

“We do not have to create a panicky situation. Kogi State Hajj Commission is not in any form of crisis. The Commission is putting its papers together to ensure a successful budget defense.

“We urge the public to continue to have faith in the Commission which has been repositioned to render excellent services to the people of the State”.

Fanwo urged the media to verify information before they release it to the public in order to enable the noble profession retain the confidence of the people, thanking the media for remaining a veritable partner in the New Direction Agenda of the Governor Yahaya Bello administration.
