Kogi LG Polls: Dayo Onibiyo’s Welfarist Approach Yielding Results in Yagba East

As the Kogi State Local Government elections draw near, one aspirant who presence has been felt across the length and breadth of his domain is Dayo Onibiyo.

In a chat with Kogireports.com, Dayo lamented the state of underdevelopment in Yagba East and called for Paradigm Shift in local governance.

“We need purposeful leadership to chart a course leading to development to our people”, he said.

Gunning to be Chairman, Yagba East Local Government Area in the election schedule to hold on 4th of May this year Dayo has visited all towns and villages in the local government.

With his welfarist approach to politics, Dayo has become a household name in Yagba East.

In the course of his campaign tour of towns and villages in Yagba East, it became evident Yagba East residents that Onibiyo is passionate about Health, Education, Youth and Women Empowerment.

The young enterprising aspirant donated drugs and bedsheets to General Hospitals in Isanlu and Ife-Olukotun, he organised free medical check up for Isanlu residents. He also donated termite treatment to Iddo Health Centre in ward 10 of the local government.

With a show of commitment to education in the local government, Dayo Onibiyo organised computer training in ward 02 in collaboration with Jammat, he donated school uniforms to some students in all primary schools in Ife-Olukotun and paid JAMB fees for pupils in Ejuku and Ife Olukotun.

Successful politicians world over are known for their interest in youth and women empowerment. Dayo’s passion for youth and women empowerment is quite remarkable.

He donated automated grinding machines to women in Ejuku, donated a grinding and milling machine to women in Isanlu and a melon Sheller machine to women in ward 02 of the local government. He also formed the Itesiwaju Women Group in Ife-Olukotun.

Dayo Onibiyo’s political train is gaining more grounds on a daily basis as people see in him a shift from the past.

“Our people are getting the message of change gradually, he said.
