Kogi Lawmaker Presents 18-Months-in-Office Achievements to Constituents

The member representing Lokoja 2 constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly (KGSHA), Hon Idris Ndako has unveiled his achievements in the last one and half year of his assumption of office to the five wards in the constituency.

Ndako hosted organizations, community leaders, women, student unions, and youths organization at his Felele residence to brief them on his stewardship as a lawmaker in the last 18 months.

The lawmaker explained that his achievements included the motions he sponsored at the plenary session on: Education, Agriculture, Roads and power (electricity) among others.

Hon Ndako who unveiled a booklet that contained his achievements within the period under review, appealed to the party leaders to co-operate with him in his efforts to serve the people.

“We will soon embark on tour of the five wards to meet our people, I want to use this medium to called on our leaders to join the trail during the visit so that together we can chart a new cause for our people”

He explained that the purpose of the meeting was to present his score card of achievement and to brainstorm on the way forward for development in Lokoja 2, and to ensuring that the constituency is totally transformed to an enviable height.

“At the House, we have no allocation but we can direct and ensure that the dividends of democracy are brought to the door steps of Lokoja 2 Constituency people and Lokoja Local Government in general, I urge you all to continue your support in order for more projects and other benefits to be attracted to Lokoja 2 constituency,” he said.

He thanked the various organizations that attended the constituency briefing,and assured women that he’ll reach them due course this year.

Speaking on behalf of Kupa North, Dr Adamu Galadima, commended the lawmaker and appealed to him to continued his good work.

The Chief Executive of Maka’aji group of Companies, appealed to Ndako to consider the building of primary schools in Laggan, Tsanawa and Budon –Abugi–Eggan road.

Representative of Oworo ward, Dr Danja Abdul, describes Ndako as a giver. According to him “it’s not someone that has numbers of degrees that’s a leader,your contributions to the development of your societies counts alot”.

He urged the lawmaker to concentrate of skill acquisition programs.

He said efforts should be made by the lawmaker to unite the people of Lokoja 11constituency, we can achieve unity through culture,sports and entertainment industry,he pointed out.

Other leaders of various wards and community who spoke on behalf of their communities, expressed joy at the scorecard presentation by the lawmaker and urged him to continue in his ongoing physical transformation in Lokoja 2 constituency.

They advised him not be deterred by critics in the discharge of his electioneering promises to Lokoja 2 Constituency.

Lokoja 11 progressive Youth Forum awarded Hon Ndako for his credible performance.

Presenting the award on behalf of the association, Vice Chairman of PDP in the state, Hon Sam Ranti Abenemi described Ndako as the stabilizing factor, not only in PDP family, but among his colleagues in the legislative chamber.

Abenemi admonished the PDP followers across the constituency to rally round Ndako so that he can succeed .

Those that attended the constituency briefing include; all the People’s Democratic Party Leaders form the area, Hon Sam Ranti Abenemi, a one time commissioner of water resources and State Vice Chairman of PDP, former lawmakers, members of ruling APC from the constituency.

Others are: women associations, youths, Chairman Oworo Development Association (ODA), Mr Abdullahi Idris Ohidozi and a host of others.
