*says Dino is not fighting Bello but Bello refused guidance

The Special Adviser on media to Senator Dino Melaye, Mr. Gideon Ayodele have finally reacted to the insinuations and comments by the Special Adviser on media and strategy to the Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello and the commissioner for information on the current crisis in the state.

It will be recalled that yesterday, Kogi State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Awwal Imam berated some APC stakeholders from the state calling for the probe of the state governor, Yahaya Bello, over alleged anti-party activities at the party’s national secretariat.

Imam said all those selected to head the probe panel were those confronting the state governor, especially the leader of the committee, Senator Dino Melaye, who has been attacking the governor for not allowing him to produce the Secretary to the State Government, Commissioners from the western district as well as members of the Local Government administrators.

But in his reaction, Ayodele Gideon wonders how a well guided politician will assume that a BOT member of a party should not question how affairs are managed in his constituency especially in kogi state where we laboured to get a victory for our party.

“This hard earn victory must be guided jealously and managed properly”, he said.

Senator Dino Melaye, he said, is not in conflict with the governor but would prefer the governor to retrace his step and follow the right path.

He said the activities of the governor runs contrary to the ethos of a true party man; the reason why the party is calling him to order. He said the governor through his disposition has shown that he lacks basic understanding of the state politics and needed to be guided on the right path before he plunges the party into disrepute.

“Senator Melaye has no personal grudges with the governor. If he (Bello) turns back and follows the right path, he will enjoy the highest esteem of the senator. The governor is treading on the wrong path, and there is the need to bring him back to reality

“It is clear that these people are opportunists and have failed to understand the terrain they are treading and rather than guiding carefully, they are jumping about making noise. They have demonstrated incompetence and inexperience”.
