Kakanda Stakeholders Re-affirms Support for Ndako’s Re-election

Ahead of the 2019 election, political stakeholders from Kakanda Ward in Lokoja local government area of Kogi State have reaffirmed their commitment towards returning Hon. Idris Ndako, member representing Lokoja 1 constituency in the state House of Assembly back to the House come 2019.

The political stakeholders, yesterday, at the Lokoja residence of the Nakoji of Budan, Alhaji Ahmadu Aliyu Awutanyaya, trooped out in their numbers to endorse Ndako for a second term

Led by the Sokiako of Budan, Alhaji Salihu Maman-Lafiya, the leaders declared that their unalloyed support for Ndako was out of their conviction that the lawmaker has performed exceptionally.

Mama-Lafiya said: “The lawmaker has put smiles on our faces through various infrastructure projects including construction of rural roads, rural electrification and above all, women and youth empowerment.”

Representative of the youths, Mr. Ali Umar a.k.a Assignment, in his remark, said: “Our decision is premised on the fact that Ndako has kept his promises to our people so in unanimity we declare that one good turn deserves another.”

Responding, Ndako, who restated his acceptance of the divine call to contest for re-election in 2019, said he remains committed to providing purposeful representation to Lokoja 1’constituency people with the fear of God, which he said would translate to development for the area.

Meanwhile, in fulfillment of his electoral promises, Ndako, presenting a cheque of N2.5 million to the Kakanda community leaders.

The fund, according to him was for the building of a health clinic in Gori and building of a Police Post in Doji.

Ndako said the initiative was a fulfillment of his electoral promises to the people adding that in the course of his campaign his attention was drawn to the fact that the two communities lack the facilities.

He advised the leaders to make judicious use of the money promising to extend same gesture to other communities as soon as the funds are available.

Speaking on behalf of Kakanda community, Manman-Lafiya thanked Hon. Ndako for the gesture and assured him of judicious use of the fund, noting that a committee will set up to supervise the two projects.
