The senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Dino Melaye has reacted to the news going around, credited to the Traditional Rulers in kabba and the Leadership of Kabba Development Union that he was not invited to the Kabba Day celebration.
In his reaction through a statement issued by his S. A Media, Mr. Gideon Ayodele said that the senator have choosen to be silent about the issue on the fact that he was there at the occasion to preach peace and what he experience was an evidence that the people still love him and he cannot allow any sponsored miscreants to discredit his integrity and that he has long put the attack behind him as he sees it as a sacrifice for peace in Kabba and Okun land at large.
“I respect my royal fathers and will continue to respect and protect them. I want to believe that if at all they are the author of the said letter, it must have been that they are under durex to do so”.
“The Kabba Development Union too, a body whose leadership I hold in high esteem too can make such statement as a defence. I am not in anyway bitter about it, but I know a sane mind will see my action at the venue of the Kabba Day celebration as an action befitting of an Okun son, who place high value on the need for peace in our communities”.
I am made bold to say that I was officially decorated in my house in Abuja as the Grand Ambassador of Kabba Day 2017 by the National President of Kabba Development Union and members of the Kabba Day Planning Committee.
Whatever they say, whatever their propaganda, I still give it all to the good people of Okun land and Kogi West by extension as my sacrifice for peace” he submitted.
