Mr Moses Olorunleke, the Sole Administrator of Kabba/Bunu Local Government in Kogi on Thursday decried the influx of kidnappers, insurgents and other criminals into the area.

Olorunleke told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kabba that information had revealed that there had been  continued influx of criminals into the area.
“Today, I held an emergency meeting with the security agencies in my local government to rub minds and intimate them about the development and find a way forward.
“I am telling you the truth; there is massive influx of Boko Haram and kidnappers into our local government area.
“The Fulani herdsmen have also become a great threat in our local government area.
“We have federal roads across our local government, linking Kwara and the FCT; we have boundaries with Ondo and Ekiti states which makes it easier for the dislodged criminals from other states to be coming into Kabba.
“This is why we are shouting to the government to come to our aid; we are calling on our traditional rulers to tell their people to give us viable information that will lead to the arrest of these criminals.
“We want the general public to give us information and cooperate with the security agencies to let us know the hideouts and the movements of these evil doers.
“I am urging my people, through the royal fathers, to alert the security agents of any strange face or movement in their respective vicinity and community because they are the ones that can easily identify them,” Olorunleke said.
He commended the efforts of the governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for his determination to flush out criminals from the state and assured him of the total support of the people.
