It should be seen from the foregoing, the invasion of Fulani invaders and resistant from all Bunu sons and daughters with a strong voice saying NO TO FULANI COLONY but as it has been demonstrated and pronounced by the State Kogi State Government to impose the Fulani colony against the general will of the people.
The people in the affairs of government should know that for us to undertake any law or policy on Fulani colony and obligatory of keeping them, it should be a mutual understanding between the host community and the Fulani’s as this policy and the imposition does not resonate with Bunu people. The particular will of the government tends by its very nature, to be partial, while the general will of Bunu people tends to equality. The policy or law should not be a convention between a superior and an inferior, but a conviction between the body and each of its members.
Laws are, properly speaking, only the conditions of civil association, the people being subject to the laws, ought to be their author but in this case it’s a seductive influences of individual wills, taught to see times and spaces as a series and insensible advantage to weigh the attraction of Fulani’s to Bunuland against the danger of distant and hidden evil.
On this view, we can no longer be asked whose business it is to make laws, since they are act of general will, as nobody is above the law, nor whether the law can be unjust to himself. It should be that the general will be considered on how we can both be free and subject to the laws. If they are only register out of our wills.
Today, we have our brothers in government which they are aware of the Fulani invasion and the resistant of Bunu people saying NO TO FULANI COLONY. The State Security Adviser, The Commissioner for Agriculture and the Sole Administrator of Kabba/Bunu Local government are from Bunu extraction, since the beginning of this security threat with hundreds of Fulani in our land they offer no opposition, their universal silent is taken to imply their consent of representing the Fulani interest as against the general will and interest of Bunu people in which they represented.
We say NO to precarious way of living with the Fulani’s, we enjoy the independence of our liberty and security, the danger of living with Fulani as invincible made to believe by Benue, Kaduna, Adamawa, Taraba, Nassarawa and Jos killings, we can’t put our lives in danger, the risk of our strength, which others might overcome with AK47.
We would not venture into a relationship with a greater danger, in which we would inevitably have to fight battles at the peril of our lives in defense of Fulani colony.
Do we not gain something by running, on behalf of what gives us our security?
If truly democracy is government of the people, they should as matter of urgency listen to the yearning of the people, their continua silent on this issues is dangerous and suicidal. The government and the security agent should get rid of this Fulani on our land peacefully before resulting self-defense that could lead to crisis.
“Bunu is vulnerable by virtue of geography but not by determined will”.
We are comfortable eating our cassava without meat than having a meat to eat the cassava with no land to grow the cassava.
