The Chief Administrator of Igalamela/Odolu local government area, Hon. Joseph Baron Okwoli has pledged to pay the registration fees of all the beneficiaries of his free JAMB registration exercise if they successfully gain admission into tertiary institutions.
The pledge was contained in his Eid-El-Maulud message to the people of the local government.
“All the beneficiaries of our free JAMB registration exercise who go on to gain admission into tertiary institutions will have their first year registration fees paid by the local government,” he said.
Hon. Baron had earlier in the year paid the JAMB registration fees of hundreds of candidates from Igalamela/Odolu local government area.
He called on the beneficiaries to submit their admission letters to the designated officials for confirmation and onward payment. This, he said was part of his administration’s readiness to support and encourage the youths towards attaining tertiary education.
Earlier, the administrator had congratulated Muslims on the celebration of Eid-El-Maulud. He urged Muslims to use the ceremony to pray for peace and unity in Nigeria.
