In the wake of INEC Continuous Voters Registration Exercise, Olu Majek, a fast rising young politician, in a bid to give APC an edge in any future election, has hired buses to convey unregistered voters from the villages down to INEC office where they are registered with the electoral body.
Most of the rural dwellers who complained of their inability to pay for their transport fares from their villages to INEC registration centres at the LGA Headquarters across Kogi West Senatorial District, have expressed their appreciation and commitment to the young politician and his political party, the APC. One of the newly registered voters specifically thanked Governor Yahaya Bello, noting that such a laudable initiative must have received his blessing and approval. Their joy and rapport with Olu Majek seems to give hope to APC in any future electoral contest.
An exercise which was kick started in Kabba/Bunu LGA about three weeks ago, has gradually moved to other Local Governments in Kogi West Senatorial District.
This smart political move has been supported by notable political figures in the District among whom are: Barr. Tunde Irukera, Hon. Kehinde Oloruntoba and Prince Kolawole Matthew.
Olu Majek promised to continue the exercise until the last eligible voter from Kogi West Senatorial District gets registered to vote.
As constituents, we are proud of this young chap and his initiatives.
– Otitonaye Matthew.
