The victory recorded by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the presidential and National Assembly elections in Kogi State has sent jitters down the spines of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s candidates for the House of Assembly election in the state.

LEADERSHIP Sunday’s investigation showed that the PDP candidates had become jittery and were contemplating embarking on aggressive grassroots mobilisation and campaign to enable them scale through at the elections.

One of the candidates, Dave Abuh, told LEADERSHIP Sunday in Lokoja that real work had to be done if the party was to make any impact during the elections.

Blaming the executive for the defeat suffered by PDP in the March 28 elections, Abuh noted that the dissolution of the local governments’ administrations in the state was a major snag.

“Since the sudden dissolution of the local government councils by a court last year, we knew that so many things would be happening to the party including the result of election we are witnessing in Kogi State today”, he lamented.

He called on all relevant interest groups within the PDP to re-strategise for the April 11 elections to ensure a brighter outing.
