FCT: Aidoko Supports Extension of 2017 Budget Implementation

Senator representing Kogi East,‎ Atai Aidoko Ali has said the extension of 2017 budget of the Federal Capital Territory till March this year will bridge the widening gap of under development witnessed from the preceding year .
The senator made this statement at the plenary to support a motion and ‎observation raised by Senator Philip Aduda (FCT) to the senate for special consideration the request for extension of 2017 budget implementation to March this year.
Senator Aidoko stated that it has become necessary to stem the tide and dearth of physical and ‎infrastructural development that will give a face lift to the fast dillapidating structures scattered around the city.
The lawmaker decried the growing request for social intervention particularly in the suburbs of Abuja in the areas of water, shelter, schools, hospitals and provision of light to mitigate the growing and widening gap between the well to do and the downtrodden in the society.
He urged the FCT administration to redouble its efforts in that regard so as to ensure the glory of the territory is maintained and restored in terms of accelerated development.
The FCT ‎as the seat of government deserved constant face look to upgrade both human,material and infrastructural facilities of the Nigeria’s capital to attract both local and foreign investors to the country.
