Following the continued unwarranted attacks on Governor Yahaya Bello, a one time acting governor of Kogi State, Hon Clarence Olafemi has called on elders of the party to close rank and support the APC led-administration in the state.

According to him ‘Governor Bello is a human being like all other mortals. If he makes any mistake the elders should meet him in person and discuss it one on one rather than going public without exhausting avenues of due consultations” He added that “ Kogi is the only state we have, we cannot run to other state if we destroy what we have in our hands”

Hon Olafemi who bared his mind when he paid a courtesy call on the Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Abubakar Ohere declared that as the only surviving member of the national BOT of APC in Kogi State, he strongly believes that the elders of the party in the state and well-meaning Kogians should rally round Governor Bello in his quest to transform the State.

The APC BOT member further said the ascension of Governor Bello as the number one citizen of the state was divine noting that individual interest must not be placed above the well-being of the entire electorate of Kogi State. He added that he would continue to mobilize support for the progress of Governor Bello’s administration in the State.

In his remarks, the Special Adviser on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon  Abubakar Ohere thanked the APC BOT member for his fatherly  visit and great commitment to the ideals of APC. He noted that he was happy with his positive contributions to the growth of the party and the Alhaji Yahaya Bello led administration in the State.

The Special Adviser called on the dissenting voices in the party to join hands with Governor Bello’s led-administration adding that the programme of the governor for the people of the state in the last one hundred days in office is already affecting the lives of Kogi electorate positively.
