Awoniyi Appreciates God for Success in Office, Urges Support for Incoming Administration

It was all songs of Joy and celebration, as Yomi Awoniyi, Kogi State Deputy Governor, joined worshipers at the First Baptist Church, Ileteju Mopa, in Mopamuro LGA to dance and to thank God for what he described as an eventful tenure of Capt Idris Wada.

Awoniyi described the last four years of the Wada administration as one that had its ups and down, but thanked God that the administration is leaving the state better than it met it.

Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi at the thanksgiving service held in his honour at the First Baptist Church, Ileteju Mopa, in Mopamuro LGA of Kogi State, thanked the people of Kogi State for their support for the Wada administration, and particularly, praised members of First Baptist Church, Mopa, and all the people of the Local Government for their prayers and support to the administration in the last four years.

The Deputy Governor promised his continuous support to churches in the area, said the Joy in his heart is now greater than the joy when the administration was sworn in in 2012, because the administration is finishing well in improving the lives of the people.

Awoniyi solicited the peoples support for the incoming administration, said it was such support that enabled the present administration made successes in all sectors of the state economy, despite the challenges the administration encountered .

Awoniyi prayed for the state to make more successes in the years ahead, disclosed that the Wada administration has laid the solid foundation that would make the state a state of envy in the years to come.

In a sermon, Reverend Joshua Ige, of First Baptist Church Ileteju Mopa, Rev Ige, commended the Deputy Governor for what God used him to do for the  the Church and in the lives of humanity, prayed God to direct and guide him in his future live endeavors.

The clergyman described Awoniyi as a pillar of support to the church, prayed and wished him well in the years ahead.

Highlights of the thanksgiving service was dance and thanksgiving offering as well as prayers for Kogi State, the Deputy Governor and his family.

The church service was attended by the chairman of Mopamuro LGA, Hon Funsho Daniyan and other well wishers from the area.
