As kogi state pilgrims joined other pilgrims from across the glob for hajj proper to Arrafat on Sunday, the chairman of the state Hajj commission, Alh. Muhammed Sediq, has assure pilgrims from the state that adequate arrangements have been put in place for a hitch free hajj.

The chairman who stated this yesterday in Makkah Saudi Arabia, noted that his commission is working in partnership with the Nigeria Hajj Commission and the Saudi Authority to ensure that noting goes wrong.

He however enjoined pilgrims from the state to adhere very strictly to the rules and regulations as set out by the Saudi Authority.

According to him the authorities has warned that any pilgrims who violated their warnings would be sanctioned appropriately.

He thanked the Governor of kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for providing an enabling  environment for the commission to function properly.

According to the chairman, the state government has demonstrated quality leadership by ensuring that the state pilgrims are comfortable.

He said that the only way the pilgrims can show appreciation to the state government, is to be law abiding and be good ambassadors of not only kogi state but Nigeria as a whole.

The chairman along side his official and other ad hoc staff had earlier inspected the camp in Muna to asses the level of preparation ahead of pilgrims arrival on Saturday
