The All Progressives Congress (APC) has been inaugurated in the central senatorial district of Kogi State.
Addressing party supporters in Okene, a chieftain of the party, Professor Yusuf Aliyu, said APC is a merger of all progressive parties in the country, saying the purpose of accepting the party in the state was to form central government in 2015 so as to salvage the country from total collapse.
He said APC has a roll-call of tested and trusted national leaders, assuring that the party will give Nigerians and the people of the Kogi Central a new political direction that will ensure a new lease of life.
Professor Yusuf also commended the high turnout of supporters from the five local government of Okene, Adavi, Ajaokuta, Okehi and Ogori/Magongo that make up the district.
