All Progressives Congress, APC, members in Kogi State have been advised to work together to be able to wrest power the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state.

A member of the APC National Interim Steering Committee, Mr. James Ocholi (SAN), who made the call at a stakeholders’ meeting in Lokoja, the state capital, urged party faithful to remain focused.

Ocholi explained that part of the aims of the mega party was to wrest power for PDP at the centre and the states. He regretted that public fund was currently going into individuals’ pockets in the state, noting that all the founding members of the PDP were no longer relevant in power sharing in the state. Ocholi assured party loyalists that APC would entrench internal democracy and rule of law.

He promised that APC would win the three senatorial seats, nine House of Representatives seats, 21 local government chairmanship seats and the governorship.

Also, the state House of Assembly member representing Yagba West Constituency, Hon. Bidemi Adeyemi, said it was high time the state was rescued from bad governance.

The lawmaker said before he was elected into the state House Assembly he was thinking of how to rescue the state and serve his people diligently, but when he came on board he discovered that it was not easy, adding that he could not help the matter.

Bidemi, therefore, noted that all the APC loyalists must close ranks and work tirelessly to ensure the party win elections in the state.
