Adavi Ward Heads to Partner With Security Agents on Peace

The ward heads in Adavi Local Government Area have restated their readiness to collaborate with the security agents for the maintenance and sustenance of peace and security of their respective environments.

The ward heads who promised to discharge their duties diligently without fear or favour during their monthly meeting at the District Head’s residence, Ogaminana, urged security operative to always treat information given to them with all seriousness.

The District Head of Adavi, Alhaji Salihu Abdulsalami reminded security agents to treat information from ward heads with utmost confidentiality as they are close to the people at the grassroots than the security agents

According to a statement issued and signed by the Local Government Information Officer, Obeito S.H, Alhaji Abdulsalami reminded the ward heads especially those in the farm centers along Okene- Lokoja road to be alive to their responsibilities by checking the influx of strangers into the farm settlement.

Adavi District Head maintained the ward heads’ forum resolve to be honest, transparent and above board in their services to uplift mankind for the overall wellbeing of all and sundry living in Adavi LGA.

Speaking, the secretary to Adavi Traditional Council, Mallam Yakubu I. Beida charged the ward heads to sit up as the representatives of the government in their wards and localities.

In his speech, the Divisional Crime Officer of Adavi police Division, ASP Linus Chukwu who represented the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), commended the ward heads for the timely holding of the meeting due to security challenge in the area and Kogi Central Senatorial District.

He urged the people to rise to the task of checking pipeline vandalism through prompt reporting of economic saboteurs and enemies of the people who may want to siphon petroleum products through pipeline vandalism.
