Abubakar Ohere Grants Scholarship to 18 Students

Engr. Abubakar Ohere has granted scholarships to 18 best students of Ruhul Islam College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Adavi-Eba.

The scholarship awards, according to Ohere’s technical assistant, Hon. Mubarak, will aid the beneficiaries up till tertiary education.

The government approved college, Ruhul Islam College, which was founded in year 1989 is first of its kind in Ebira land and has groomed a number of intellectuals and great minds.

Hon. Mubarak, who is a product of the institute, said it was a dream come true for him as he has been nursing the aspiration for a long time. This stride he said, was done in consolidating his boss’ ‘Educational Reach-out Foundation’.

Dr. Ohere, who is the Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi State on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs also doubled as the Chairman, FairWin Support Group. He said the gesture shall soon be extended to other schools in tandem with the New Direction Policy of Governor Yahaya Bello. The process of selection shall be 3 best students from each class making a total of 18 in 6 classes.
The school Principal appreciated the effort of the Government official towards ensuring quality education in the state as well as alleviating the burden of the indigent students.
